First-person video is easy to shop for and hard to use. A lot of it is the same room, the same angle, the same hands.

Buy off the shelf when you need a prior and you can live with someone else’s kitchen. Buy custom when the environment is yours: your bench, your tools, your safety rules, the task your model will actually be asked to do.

Before the price, three questions. Who consented, in writing. Who checked the labels, and against which rubric. What you are allowed to train, and for how long.

We’d rather lose the deal than invent those answers. Provenance is part of delivery. It is not paperwork you chase after the invoice.
