Contributor documentation overview

What Harbor contributor programs are and how this documentation is organized.

Harbor is the data layer for contextual intelligence. Labs licence first-person hours. Contributors capture real work in Collect or judge model output in the Expert Network. You are an independent operator—not a Harbor employee.

This contributor handbook covers apply, vetting, Collect workspace, missions, payouts, referrals, and standards. Company, Data Network, Expert Network, Managed programs, and $HARBOR have their own sections in the sidebar. Read those if you buy data or need the company map. Read this section if you are about to capture or review.

Two desks

Collect (harborml.com/dashboard) is residential and field capture: phone first, computer upload, 5–30 minute first-person clips. Expert (expert.harborml.com) is evals, annotation, and matching. Do not send Collect grocery video as an expert application. Do not expect Collect to show a dollar on every mission.

What you must finish before paid work

  1. A real Harbor session (Join Harbor — email, Google, or wallet)
  2. Vetting required by the programme (identity, domain, agreements)
  3. Payout setup for cash (tax and banking). Token preference is optional
  4. Jurisdiction declaration in Collect if stock rewards apply

Harbor's three solutions

  • Multimodal Data Intake — Capture — Collect data from the field and the web: Data Intake contributors run field and studio capture programmes—recording real environments, attaching metadata, and uploading through Harbor tooling.
  • Annotation & Evals Workspace — Harbor Passport™ — Review and QA before training: Annotation & Evals contributors deliver rubric-based judgments on frontier workflows.
  • AI Recruitment Engine — Adaptive Validation & Delivery — Match and vet domain experts: Some Managed Programs include dedicated contributor cohorts recruited and run by Harbor operations.

Read Harbor’s three solutions for full detail on each capability and how contributors participate.

Before you begin

Complete vetting and Harbor payout setup before accepting paid program work. Unverified profiles cannot access client data.
